Lithuanian born, Brussels based Marija Rasa, performing and releasing music under the moniker emer, explores sound rooted in the meditative space of dub, flowing through slow fluctuations of bass, texture, and voice. A graduate of the Institute of Sonology in The Hague, Rasa also develops a series of multichannel acousmatic works called microlands through a meticulous micro-montage approach. Her musical releases include Sea Salt on Lillerne Tapes, the LP Fog on Short Span, a collaboration album you and me with Ugnė Uma on STROOM. She is also one half of the electroacoustic duo ugne&maria, whose albums were released on the labels Futura Resistenza and Hands in the Dark. Besides, Marija is a long-term resident of Radio Vilnius and Kiosk Radio in Brussels.
